4. How We Share Your Information

Because Doobido's core function is to connect Buyers and Sellers, certain information is necessarily shared between them:

  • Buyer → Seller: When a Buyer posts a Need, the details of that Need (and limited profile/contact information, as configured in your account settings) are made visible to Sellers eligible to bid on it.
  • Seller → Buyer: When a Seller submits a Bid, the Bid details and relevant Seller profile information (business name, ratings, portfolio) are made visible to the Buyer who posted the Need.

We may also share information with:

  • Service Providers: hosting providers, cloud storage, payment gateways, SMS/email/notification providers, customer support tools, and analytics providers, who process data on our behalf under confidentiality and data-processing obligations.
  • Legal and Regulatory Authorities: where required to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Doobido, our Users, or the public.
  • Business Transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality arrangements.
  • With Your Consent: for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time of collection and to which you consent.

We do not sell personal information to third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

5. Role of the Platform in Buyer–Seller Transactions

Doobido provides a technology platform that enables Buyers to post Needs and Sellers to submit Bids. Unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific feature, Doobido:

  • is not a party to, and does not guarantee the outcome, quality, legality, or performance of, any transaction, agreement, or arrangement entered into between a Buyer and a Seller;
  • does not verify the accuracy of information posted by Users except where an explicit verification feature is stated to apply;
  • is not responsible for any dispute, loss, or damage arising from a Buyer–Seller interaction, and any such dispute must be resolved directly between the Buyer and Seller; and
  • reserves the right to remove any Need, Bid, or account that violates our Terms of Service, without liability to any User.

Users acknowledge that information shared with a counterparty (Buyer or Seller) as part of the bidding process is shared at the User's own discretion and risk, and Doobido is not responsible for how that counterparty subsequently uses such information outside the Platform.

We use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to operate the Platform, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, measure performance, and serve relevant content. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may limit certain features of the Platform (e.g., staying logged in, viewing personalised Bid recommendations).

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform, and thereafter for as long as necessary to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
